James Ross
President and Founder at Avalon NW, inc. He is the project manager, estimator, and super intendant for all job sites. He has a passion for creating tangible assets that people can cherish for a lifetime, as well as treating every home like it’s his own. Jim graduated from Washington State University with a BS in Construction Management. Jim is a third-generation carpenter following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather in Seattle, Washington. He is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, hiking, and fishing. When not working, Jim enjoys barbecuing, listening to music by JJ Grey & Mofro and Sean Rowe, traveling, and supporting his two children at their sporting events.
Shelly Chinn
Vice President at Avalon NW, inc. She is in charge of designing and permitting residential and commercial projects, as well as maintenance for national accounts. She loves helping people transform their homes and businesses into their own sanctuaries. Before devoting her work full time at Avalon NW, inc, Shelly was a lighting designer for many years calling on architects, engineers, restaurants, schools, colleges, and commercial buildings. Shelly graduated from the University of Washington with a BA in Political Science. In her spare time, Shelly enjoys cooking, wine tasting, golfing and watching her two children grow up.
